My Story & Mission
About Childhood Corner
For 26+ years I have been an early childhood educator. I wanted to open a home-away-from-home childcare where a child can just be a kid. I had the best childhood — climbing trees and playing in the rain was the best time spent — and that is what I want children today to experience.
Philosophy & Environment
Reintroducing kids to outdoor play is my goal. I build confidence and teach life skills while supporting social-emotional development. Childhood Corner is a happy and safe place for a child to express their needs and wants.
I’ve launched a home-based childcare service that provides children with a comfortable and stress-free environment. With a variety of fun activities, the children learn to communicate and build friendships that last a lifetime. I also serve healthy home-cooked meals to introduce strong eating habits.
My Approach
My primary objective is to create an atmosphere where children can learn from each other, make new friends, and collaborate to develop healthy social-emotional and language skills.
I offer hands-on learning and ensure that I respect the dignity, worth, and uniqueness of every child. My mission is to help them reach their full potential in an environment built on trust, respect, and positive guidance. I understand that children are best understood in the context of family, culture, and society.
Why It Matters
I strongly believe that play is a crucial aspect of a child's development, and it helps build their confidence and self-help skills. Because a happy childhood lasts a lifetime.
